Andre Heilemann Research and Development Manager at Emsland Group

Earlier this year, Andre Heilemann was appointed as Head of Research and Development at Emsland Group. He succeeded Henk Jaap Meijer on May 1. Here is a brief presentation of Andre Heilemann and his background.

Andre Heilemann, Head of Research and Development at Emsland Group:

“My name is Andre Heilemann. I am 30 years old and have my roots in the Emlichheim region. After completing my university studies in process engineering, I joined the Emsland Group in 2015. At the beginning, I was employed as a process engineer and process optimizer in production. Later, I was involved in the reorganization of the technology department and took on the position of project manager.”

“I was able to apply and improve my knowledge of the organization and structuring of project tasks in several projects concerning the construction and conversion of process engineering equipment in various factories of the Emsland Group. In 2021, I will I had the opportunity to set up a new Process Development Team in order to create a close link between the fields of technology and research.”

As the global crises seem to continue to escalate, they face many challenges on how to best position their business for the future. Here, research and development plays an important role in safeguarding the existing product portfolio, developing new products and optimizing processes.

  • It will therefore begin to focus on the following main topics:
  • Optimization of process structures in Research and Development for better planning and management of needs and resources
  • Development of new potato and pea-based protein products using membrane technology
  • Broadening the range of applications of potato and pea fibers Increasing the added value of by-products
  • Creation of a toolkit for online training sessions
