Relevance Group, a real estate company based in Lagos, Nigeria, held the third edition of its annual Wealth Summit to commemorate ten years of people getting richer.

The ‘Lagos Real Money’ themed summit held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at The Dome, KICC Mende, Maryland Lagos, provided attendees with the opportunity to be inspired and maximize great creative-focused opportunities and wealth management.

During his presentation titled “The Mind of a Rich Man” at the summit, Sunday Olorunsheyi, partner and co-founder of Relevance Group, said the Wealth Summit was launched in 2020 to help people define their journey to financial freedom and understand the process. building transgenerational wealth, a rare phenomenon in Africa.

“A rich man understands the process of making money and is in no rush to make money because he knows it will be passed down from generation to generation,” Olurunsheyi added.

“When we started, we couldn’t afford to buy land on Banana Island, so we went looking for cassava islands, knowing that those places or those bushes would become towns, and we made over a thousand percent because we waited a long time,” he said. said.

Following the same line of thought of creating wealth through land assets, Niyi Adesanya, CEO of Fifth Gear Plus and one of the speakers at the summit, said that real estate is the oldest source of wealth through the ages.
